Week 2 Lions 26 Colts 12

This one was scary until the end. On our second offensive series, Daylon was inctercepted and the Colts ran it back for a TD. We were down 0-6 right off the bat. NOT GOOD. It was my fault, we normally set up our passes with two mis-direction running plays and get the defense to suck in. That time, we passed on the first play. But we fought back and before the end of the first half, Bayley threw a long pass to Daylon behind the Defense and he ran it all the way to tie it up. (third picture) We missed the Exta point so it was 6-6.
They later scored again and went up 12-6. With the game getting close to over, Bayley intercepted a pass on defense and on offense Jimmy scored to make it 12-12. Bayley made a great catch on the extra point to put us up by one. (first picture) 13-12. Then, as the Colts were trying to make one last effort to win the game, Jimmy intercepted a pass and ran it back for a TD. (last picture) 20-12. One more TD was scored by Sawyer as we were trying to run out the clock. Everyone did a great job and hung in there. It was such a fun game. I LOVE coaching these kids.

Year of the Lion

Bayleys football season started saturday with a nice win over the Saints. I felt bad for the other coach. He told me after the game, it was his first and they have only practiced once. They were unable to get one first down. We won 20-0, and had one TD called back due to a rule change. It was a good warm up. Bayley caught a short pass and ran for a TD, and threw a touchdown pass to Jimmy. Everyone did good. I really like this bunch of boys. We should do well.

Del Mar Trip

We took our annual No kids weekend to California for Candi's Birthday. This is our favorite trip of the year for obvious reasons. Going to the Beach with the whole family is awesome, but without kids, its a whole different experience. A big shout out to my Mom for watching the kids the whole 4 days. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. We stayed at Tony's Condo in Del Mar with Tony, Camie, T-Mo-G and his wife Mckelle. We spent some time at the beach sleeping, riding waves and having fun. Our last day there, we took a 4 hour boat ride on T's Yacht called "Blue Skies". That was a blast. I loved this the most. Very relaxing time.

Bayley is starting football practice again. I am coaching one more season. We have a great group again this year. I am excited to start playing.

Sydney is doing Dance class and looks very cute in her outfit.
