Trophy pool party with my boys and assistant coach Gino. He was a huge help this year. We are going to do it again next season. And yes, I am cross eyed.

Its been awhile since my last blog. We have moved into our home and our regular computer still is not set up. Anyway I just wanted to get some pictures of Bayley's football tournament on here. Our team finished 4th out of 20 teams and made it to the semifinals two saturdays ago. They had to play 5 games in one day. Words can never describe how proud I am of them. That day all the hard work and practices came together and they played unbelievably well. Bayley matured right in front of my eyes and threw the ball really well. He passed for a few touchdowns, had 2 interceptions, and caught a touchdown pass in the final game. That day was a day I will never forget. I am not sure if it was because I fell in love with my boys and had to watch them battle all day and walk off the field crying after losing the final game or if it was because I was living a dream of watching my son develop a love for the game and enjoy the compitition.

The following Saturday we played in another tournament for the Grand Canyon State Games.
The 5 best teams from all off the leagues played. In the first round we beat the team that beat us in the semi finals the previous week and went on to win the whole thing. It was the first time they lost all season. It was awesome. The kids were going crazy. Bayley caught the last touchdown to put us in front 12-6. We ended up losing in the 3rd round but they gained a ton of experience these last two weeks. Bayley has also been wanting to watch the Suns games with me and actually looks foward to them. Life as a Father has been good lately.

The other day I was able to go to Game 7 VS the Lakers and sit right on the floor next to the suns bench. It was my first playoff game. Words can't say how cool that is. Anyway after the game Jerry Coleman, Josh and I were standing there and Jerry points to some ankle tape on the floor and says "Hey Curtis, That's Steve Nash's Ankle tape, Take it home and EBAY it and I want 50%". The 50% thing is only funny if you know Jerry. He has his hand in many cookie jar's and owns 50% of a lot of things.
You need a Home loan, Shutters, Lawyer, 150 acres in Eloy he can do it. Anyway, I did and here is a picture. It's on Ebay now. The link is below. I also listed it on Craigslist.com and have received one trade offer not worth taking and a short phone interview with a guy from the Scottsdale Times who saw it listed and was laughing his head off when I told him the Story.
Hey! You never know. And remember, ** Serious Bidders only please. **

Candice and I ran into Todd Heap while eating breakfast before our flight last week. Todd is one of my few football heros. I watched him play in High School, ASU, and the NFL. He is a good mormon boy from Mesa who married his high school girlfriend in the temple. He is now playing for the Ravens in the NFL. He made the Pro Bowl in 2003 and 2004 and is one of the top 3 tight ends in the league. He recently signed a contract extenstion for big big money. About
$4.5 million per year for 6 years with a $7 million signing bonus. I also have my Todd Heap autographed football Tony asked him to sign for me when he stopped by his office. Anyway, I was just excited I was able to meet him and get a picture. He could not have been any nicer about it.
